KINGSLEY, Mich. — Sally Lou Wilhelm, 81 of Kingsley, Mich., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 201,2 at Country Court Nursing Center. She had stayed with her daughter in Bellville over the past year.

She was born June 2, 1931, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Buel and Buelah (Townsend) White. Sally was an avid horseback rider. She also enjoyed cross-country skiing and bicycling. She loved the outdoors and on any given sunny day that is where she spent her time. She was also one of the founders of the Michigan Trail Riders Association.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Amy (Wilhelm) LaBenne of Bellville; her son, Chris Wilhelm of Midland, Mich.; three grandchildren, Rachael LaBenne, Kirsten Wilhelm and Devin Wilhelm.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Wilhelm; and a daughter, Abby Wilhelm.

Private family and friends memorial services will take place in Michigan and Bellville. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the arrangements for the Wilhelm family.
