LOGAN — Merle Thomas “Pappy” Pappy Hoffman, 82, passed Aug. 2, 2012, in his home in Logan.
He was born April 13, 1930, in Mansfield to Albert and Marie Hoffman, he was a U.S. Army veteran during Korean War.
Surviving are children, Rick Hoffman, Mark Hoffman and Vicki Gavin; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Dolce, Esther Foreman, Donna May Wymers, Donald, Raymond, Dwane, Bill and James Hoffman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by wife, Eula Jean (McKee) Hoffman; and siblings, Eileen Mains, and Glen, Albert and Ed Hoffman.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 1 to 3 p.m., Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Celebrant Jerry Wilson will officiate.
A memorial gathering will be Saturday at his grandson’s home, 10350 Webb Road, Logan, OH 43138 from 1 to 3 p.m.
