MARION — Jo-An C. Mingle Banbury, 81, of Marion, formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away at the Community Health Care Center in Marion on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 15, 2012.
She was born July 24, 1931, in Mount Vernon, daughter of the late William and Alice (Andre) Mingle. Jo-An was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon. She was the owner/operator of the former Guys and Dolls Clothing Store in Mount Vernon.
Jo-An is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Jim) Peterson of Marion; grandchildren, James (Lori) Peterson, Justin (Brittini) Peterson, and Jason (Jenny) Peterson, all of Marion; and great-grandchildren, Colin and Rilyn.
In addition to her parents, Jo-An was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Banbury.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
