GAMBIER — Roger C. Billman, 82, of Gambier, passed away Aug. 16, 2012, at The Ohio Eastern Star Home. He was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Gambier to E. Dean and Mabel (Fawcett) Billman. He graduated from OSU and then went on to earn his Master in Agricultural Engineering from Purdue. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War as a first lieutenant. Roger was a member of the Church of Christ, Elks Lodge, life member of the American Legion and a life member of the OSU Alumni. Roger is survived by two brothers, Neil Billman of Westerville and Burl (Martha) Billman of Gambier; one sister, Viva Zeigler of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gail Billman; and infant brother and sister. A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
