MANSFIELD — Mary Elizabeth Pace passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Hospice House of Ashland, surrounded by family.
She was born March 30, 1924, at the family farm outside of Butler. She was employed at Tappan’s first in the personnel office and later as director of outside sales. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by daughter, Diana (Stan) Butts; two grandsons; stepgrandson; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Garnet G. Pace; mother and stepfather, Eva and Cliff Wachtel; father and stepmother, Bruce and Marty Friday; two brothers, James Friday and Albert Friday.
Mary will be interred in Mansfield Memorial Park in a private service. A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Beverly Hall, followed by a meal and fellowship.
