PLAIN CITY — William F. Bynner 73, of Plain City, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at his residence from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

He was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Columbus. He was a member of Ohio National Guard 1956-1964; truck driver for many years. Lifelong member of the Jerome United Methodist Church, and an avid fisherman and bowler. He loved reading Western novels and watching old Western movies.

Preceded in death by parents, Donald E. and Marylou (Herrington) Bynner; infant son, Kenneth Bynner.

Survived by his loving wife, Susan (Black) Bynner, whom he married May 1, 1966, Washington Avenue United Methodist Church, Columbus; children, Fred (Reneé) Bynner of North Carolina, Stephanie (Robert) Middlestead of Plain City, Dale Bynner of Canal Winchester; five grandchildren, Tara (Erik) Moore, Jeffrey Bynner, Lyndsay Middlestead, Cody Middlestead, Evan Bynner; brothers, Charles (Wendy) Bynner of Plain City, Don Bynner of Plain City; sister, Marla (William) Foulke of Plain City.

The family will receive friends Friday, 2 to 8 p.m., Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St., (Ohio 161W) Plain City. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Jerome United Methodist Church, 10531 Jerome Road, Plain City, with Pastor David Cady officiating; and burial Jerome Township Cemetery.
