SUNBURY — Edgar L. “Eddie” VanDyke Jr., 51, of Sunbury, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Kobacker House in Columbus.
Born Feb. 8, 1961, in Columbus, he was the son of Edgar “Ed” and Alice R. (Clarke) VanDyke of Sunbury. A graduate of Big Walnut High School in 1979, Eddie played in the marching band. He worked as a chef and restaurant manager at a number of restaurants.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by son, Shaun, and daughter, Erin, both of Westerville; brother, Richard (Tina) VanDyke of Centerburg; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Ainee, Ethan, Evan, Alyssa; several aunts and uncles including, Lynnda Henderson and Doug VanDyke.
He was also preceded in death by his uncle, Ron VanDyke.
Friends may call Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services will follow Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Larry DeWitt officiating. Burial in Trenton Cemetery.
