JOHNSTOWN — A funeral service for Adam Golomb of Johnstown will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Adam was born May 17, 1944, in Detroit, Mich., a son of the late Adam and Mary (Pawlowski) Golomb and passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.
He had served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1962-65. Since 1974, Adam was a business owner in Johnstown, operating Accurate Cutter & Tool Grinding for the past 38 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his children and granddaughters. He had lived in the same home in Johnstown for 40 years and will be sadly missed by his neighbors, customers and his many friends.
Surviving are his children, Theresa (Oscar) Golomb-Romero of Chicago, Timothy (Molly) Golomb of Hebron, Cynthia Golomb of Scottsdale, Ariz., Kathleen Golomb of Chicago, Julie (Paul) Gross of Xenia; his six beloved granddaughters, Hadley, Avery, Ruby, Lauren, Mazie, Ainslie; and a half brother, Fred (Ora) McLellan of Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
