UTICA — A graveside service for Rheba “Becky” Dean, 93, of Utica, will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Homer Cemetery with Pastor Ken Kelley officiating.
Becky died Oct. 13, 2012. She was born Sept. 20, 1919, in Thurston, to the late Joseph B. and Verna L. (Foy) Murphy Sr. She was a member of Utica United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Glenwood Chapter for over 70 years. Becky will be remembered as a longtime employee of Dari Shack.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Betty Murphy Jr. of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; and sister, Kathryn Curtis of Granville; nieces and nephews, Jim and Kim Curtis of Grayslake, Ill., Sharon Shrader of Granville, Terry and Mac Murphy of Fresno, Calif., Carmen and Don Pollock of Texas City, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward N. Dean, who passed away Oct. 1, 1996.
