GALION — Leaffie Snow, 84, of Galion, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at her home with her family at her side.
She was born June 11, 1928, in Newark, to the late Clarence and Stella (Reed) Yoders.
Leaffie retired in 1984 from Hewlett Packard. She was a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle Church in Ontario. Leaffie enjoyed collecting teddy bears, bibles, and salt and pepper shakers. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie (Dennis) Lind of Elizabeth, Colo., Kathy (Girard) Galetto of Lincoln Park, Mich.; three sons, Roy Snow II of Mount Gilead, Thomas Snow of Boise, Idaho, James (Darla) Snow of Homer; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Yoders of San Jose, Calif., Charles Collins of Milford; two sisters, Goldie Landis of Marysville, Wash., and Betty Butler of Medford, Ore.
Besides her parents, Leaffie was preceded in death by her husband Roy H. Snow, whom she married July 30, 1961, two sons, Frank Rector and Timothy Rector; her grandson, Brian Conkle; two great-grandchildren; her sister, Desdomona Landis.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery near Mount Vernon.
