MOUNT VERNON — Twyla (Horn) Roberts Arnold, 92, went to be with her Heavenly Family on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.
She was born July 25, 1920, in Danville, to the late Ray Alton and Eva (Long) Horn. Twyla graduated in 1937 from Danville High School and attended Mount Vernon Business School. She worked for The Danville Bank, Lifers Turkey Farm and Buckeye Turkey Hatchery. Twyla spent most of her life in Knox County and was a lifelong member of North Bend Church of the Brethren in Danville.
She is survived by daughters, Rebecca Roberts Gardner (Ed) and Janet Arnold Rowan, all of Howard; granddaughter, Lori Hashman Metcalf (Dave) of Mount Vernon; grandsons, Larry Lee Hashman (Shanon) of Mount Vernon and Zachary Rowan of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Chelsy Hashman Guinsler (Wes) of Howard, Carlie and Paige Hashman of Mount Vernon; great-great-grandchildren, Alexander Weston and Allison Rebecca Guinsler of Howard; her sister, Nellie Horn Truex of Mount Vernon; many loving nieces, nephews; and close friend, Martha Stull.
Twyla was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin B. Arnold; her parents, Ray and Eva Horn; her son, Ronnie Ray Roberts; and her brother, Loraine E. Horn.
Twyla’s “Heaven on Earth” was her family and extended family.
Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday. A service will be held Monday beginning at 11 a.m. at the North Bend Church of the Brethren in Danville, with Pastor Patrick Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in North Bend Cemetery.
