MOUNT VERNON — Kevin “Scotty” Sigman, 47, of Johnstown Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born Jan. 27, 1965, in Mount Vernon to Ray and Linda (Zimmerman) Sigman. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Scotty was a member and was employed by the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Mount Vernon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting, but most of all Scotty loved spending time with his daughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Monica Sigman of Mount Vernon; his mother, Linda Sigman of Mount Vernon; his sister, Tina (Chuck) Schuler of Hillsboro, Ore.; his brother, David (Liz) Sigman of Portland, Ore.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scotty was preceded in death by his father, Ray Sigman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles (19 W. Vine St., Mount Vernon) beginning at 2 p.m. The family will observe a private graveside service in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be left to his daughter Monica for her future education.
