FREDERICKTOWN — Larry D. Bartlett Jr., 95, of Fredericktown, died Monday Nov. 5, 2012, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Larry was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Mount Vernon to Larry D. and Violet Audrey (Jones) Bartlett Sr. He was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and had spent his lifetime in Knox County. Larry was a farmer and had operated the Bartlett Sawmill on Old Mansfield Road for many years, and had served as a supervisor for the Knox Soil and Water Conservation District.

Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Anna (Baldwin) Bartlett; his daughter, Margy Lea of Fredericktown; granddaughters, Susan Lea (Tony Hooper) and Allison Lea; and his brother and sister-in-law, Frank T. and Eleanor Bartlett of Fredericktown.

Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Dan E. and Marie Bartlett.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside memorial services will be Saturday at 11a.m. at Morris Chapel Cemetery (on Hyatt Road, east of Old Mansfield Road) with Ward Harris officiating.
