CENTERBURG — Denise Kay Casner, 56, of Centerburg, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 29, 1956, in Mount Gilead, Ohio, to the late Melvin R. and Barbara Jean (Clark) Linkous. Denise graduated from Centerburg High School in 1975. She went on to marry the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Casner. An amazingly precious woman, Denise’s greatest joy was the love of her children and time spent with her grandson. A true family woman, she enjoyed OSU sports, cooking for her family and drinking coffee with her friends. Denise always gave unselfishly of herself to others.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Bob; sons, Brock Casner (Amanda Jones) of Centerburg and Sean Casner (Jenni Vernon) of Worthington; grandson, Aiden James Casner; sister, Tonie (Bob) Jones of Gloster, Miss.; sister, Cheryl Love, and nephew, Ryan, of Westerville; mother-in-law, Miriam Casner; special loving friends, Rita and Carol, as well as numerous other loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Kenneth L. Casner.

The family will receive friends Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where a memorial service will be held 2 p.m., with Pastor John Yust officiating.
