MOUNT VERNON — James Richard Jenkins, 86, of Mount Vernon passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the Country Court Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.
He was born on March 15, 1926, in Trinway, son of the late Paul N. and Margaret (Swope) Jenkins.
James retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. after 31 years of faithful service and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
James is survived by his daughters, Judy (Russ) Jasko and Jenny Jenkins of Mount Vernon; and a grandson, James R. Jasko of Westerville.
In addition to his parents; James was preceded in death by wife, of 49 years, Edna Irene (Ferguson) Jenkins; and brothers, Paul, Marion, Carl, Ronald, and Edward Jenkins.
The family will have a private graveside service in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
