CENTERRBURG — Arlene G. Walker, 90, of Centerburg, passed away Thursday evening, Nov. 8, 2012, at Centerburg Pointe.
She was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Rochester, Mich., to the late Clarence and Clara (Gillette) Taylor. She had lived in the Centerburg area for the past 12 years coming from Columbus. A retired clerk for AT&T, she attended Centerburg Christian Church. Arlene loved her family and especially enjoyed the holidays with them. Arlene loved to golf, play bingo, cards and travel especially to Las Vegas. She enjoyed time spent playing golf with her friends on the Blendon Seniors Golf League and bowling with the Women’s Bowling Association.
She is survived by her son, William Walker of Gahanna; daughters, Sharon (Richard) Adams of Centerburg and Karen (Ron) Mimna of Martinsville, Ind.; grandchildren, Lori, Angie, Shelley, Rick, Alexis; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Walker, July 20, 1970; sister, Gertrude Shaw.
Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, where services were to be held today at 11 a.m. with Elmer Ball and Pastor Jeff Perry officiating.
