MOUNT VERNON — Geneva M. Beever, 88 of Mount Vernon. Geneva’s wishes were the same as Clayton’s. She will be cremated and put to rest next to his cremains and they will be buried together at a later date in Homer Cemetery.
Geneva died Nov. 12, 2012, at Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon.
She was born Jan. 22, 1924, in Ashland to the late Calvin and Verla (Larimore) Butler.
Geneva had attended the Methodist Church in Homer for many years. She was a past member of American Legion Auxiliary, Post 92 of Utica, a present member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW 4027 of Mount Vernon. Geneva was lovingly cared for by her son, Larry.
She is survived by her two sons, and daughter; Charles Richard Beever and daughter-in-law, Deloris; Larry Allen Beever. all of Mount Vernon; Sherry Lee (Beever) and son-in-law, Thurman Treadway of Utica; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mabel Beever; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Neil and JoAnn Beever of Homer.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, whom she married on May 3, 1941, Clayton Beever, who passed away Oct. 28, 2007.
