MOUNT VERNON — Richard N. “Dick” Fawcett, 75, of Pearl Avenue, Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 6, 1937, in Mount Vernon, to the late Lloyd and Eileen (Johnson) Fawcett. Dick retired in 2002, from Cooper Energy Services in Mount Vernon. He was a member of the Pine Street Church of God (Anderson, Ind.), Loyal Order of the Moose and Hiawatha golf course. Dick enjoyed making wine and working in his flower garden.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Yarman) Fawcett; three daughters, Debra (Laurie Martinez) McCament of Mount Vernon, Cheri (Tim) Peters of Mount Vernon and Melanie (Wilbur) Welker of Mount Vernon; stepson, Thomas Woodward of Albuquerque, N.M.; two stepdaughters, K Linn “Kandie” (Eddie) Woodward-Reed of Corpus Christi, Texas, Kimberly (Brad) Hastings of Albuquerque, N.M., 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathy Luna of Mount Vernon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marcia (Coxey) Fawcett; and a brother, William Fawcett.
A memorial service at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home will be held at a later date.
