WALHONDING — Susie Shoults, 80, of Walhonding, passed away Nov. 18, 2012, at Knox Community Hospital.
She was born April 6, 1932, in Coshocton County, to the late Alphis G. and Hattie L. (Bickel) VanSickel. Susie was a member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church. She was former deputy clerk of Probate Court in Coshocton County for 30 years, and a former cashier with Kroger’s in Coshocton. Susie retired in 1984 and spent the rest of her retirement with her husband, Dwight.
She is survived by her sisters, Ada L. Leaman of Warsaw, Grace Rinner of Illinois and Joan Hagans of Walhonding; three stepgrandchildren, Jerry L. Shoults, Janel (Andy) Willoughby, Amanda (Daniel) Caycee; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and extended family.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight W. Shoults; siblings, Doris E. Ashcraft, Martin VanSickel, Stanley A. VanSickel, Alice M. Willis, Mary K. Farmer and Jack VanSickel; two stepchildren, Gary Shoults and Dianna Sue Stokes.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at Perry Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Fowls officiating. Friends may call Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. till time of services. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Bladensburg is handling the funeral services for the Shoults family.
