WESTERVILLE — Eleanor Louise (Holmes) Bean, born April 30, 1925, in Westerville, and passed away Nov. 21, 2012, in Westerville, at the age of 87.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Eugene “Bravo” and Laurel Louise Holmes. Eleanor was a teacher in the Centerburg Schools for many years and was a graduate of Westerville High School, Ohio Wesleyan University and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
She is survived by her children, Bethany (Bart) Lown, Tom Bean and Carole Bean-Leffler (Kenneth Leffler); grandchildren, Andrew Bean (Courtney Bean-Cooke), Rachel Bean, Laura and Lindsay Lown, Eliza and Schuyler Leffler.
Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville. Graveside service and interment will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Otterbein Cemetery, corner of Knox and Walnut streets, Westerville.
