MOUNT GILEAD — Rosemary (Jones) Beckel, 83, died Nov. 18, 2012.
She was born in Hamilton.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; four sisters; son, David Beckel; husband, Sanford “Sandy” Beckel; stepdaughter, Sondra Allard.
Rosemary is survived by son, Sandy J. Beckel and wife (Connie); three grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Sharp, Kristen (Will) Whitaker, Candace (Scott) Thompson; three great-grandchildren, Quinn Sharp, Lilly Whitaker, Broderick Thompson; and one stepdaughter, Betty Bacon.
Rosemary always put family first. She was a great wife to Sanford “Sandy” Beckel for 54 years. She was well read and had a great sense of humor. She never met a stranger. She was a great mom and loved Connie, her daughter-in-law, and her three granddaughters, Tara, Kristen and Candace so much. They all blessed her with a great-grandchild. She was an avid softball fan and was known throughout the softball community as Grandma Beckel. Rosemary loved family, people, books, music, baking and travel. She was truly a happy woman. She will be greatly missed by all.
There will be a celebration of Life Memorial on Sunday beginning at 4 p.m. in the Fredericktown Legion Hall located at 81 Mount Vernon Ave., Fredericktown.
