MOUNT VERNON — Angela McGregor, 55, of West Curtis Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at home with her family by her side.

She was born Sept. 19, 1957, in Columbus, to Loman and Wilma (Hicks) Carroll. Angela had the kindest of hearts and accepted people in need into her home where she fed, clothed and took care of them as she would her own children. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed every moment she could spend with them.

She is survived by her sons, David Cornell, Sidney Cornell, Timothy (Tanya) Cornell, all of Mount Vernon, Shawn (Kris) Cornell of Ocala, Fla.; seven grandchildren; her mother, Wilma Carroll of Mount Vernon; her brother, Loman Carroll of Granville; three sisters, Deborah Garman of Columbus, Linda Ward of Columbus and Gail Lohn of Orient.

Angela was preceded in death by her father, Loman Carroll; and her sister, Sharon Weber.

Friends may call Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will follow at the funeral home, beginning at 5 p.m., with the Rev. Jerry Bell officiating. The family will observe a private graveside service at a later date.
