MOUNT VERNON — Mary Louise Price, 81, of Mount Vernon, went to be with Jesus, our Lord and Savior, Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 19, 1931, in Mount Vernon and was the daughter of the late Richard and Ida Mawer.
Mary was a devoted member of the Grace Brethren Church. She lived out her Christian faith by serving those in need and caring for the sick. She worked and retired as a staff nurse at Mount Vernon Developmental Center where she had worked for over 20 years.
She is survived by her son, Carroll Duane “Kid” Price Jr. currently living in South Carolina; her daughter, Connie Sue (Donald) Cutter; her grandchildren, Jessie (Glenn) Bourquin and DJ (Paula) Price; one great-granddaughter, Sofia Caroline Bourquin; one brother Robert (Thelma) Mawer, and her sister-in-law Nancy Mawer; several nieces; and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ida and Richard “Dick” Mawer; three brothers, Horace “Horsie” Mawer; William “Bill” Mawer; Ronald Mawer; and one sister, Martina Mavis.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
