MOUNT VERNON — Ruth L. Cooke, 95, of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at the Country Club Retirement Campus.
She was born Dec. 15, 1916, in Mount Vernon to Wilbur and Florence (Warman) Durbin.
Ruth was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Myra Neal of Westerville; four grandchildren; Ruth (Charlie) Murray of Fla., Charles Neal of Columbus, Sally (Mark) Malatestinic of Columbus and Rita Neal of Mt. Gilead; two great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Cooke; one daughter, Betty Jo Keenan; four brothers; and two sisters.
Graveside funeral service will be held Monday, at 11 a.m. in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with The Rev. Warren Outhwaite officiating.
The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the funeral arrangements for the Cooke Family. Memorial Contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to Hospice of Knox County.
