MANSFIELD — Jack Allen Bard, 50, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, surrounded by his loving family members.

Jackie was born June 20, 1962, in Shelby, Ohio, to Jack and Marcia Bard. A graduate of Crestview High School, Jack was an auto body painter and repairman. He was our family “Mr. Fixer Upper.” Tinkering with hammers, nails and woodworking as a hobby he produced amazing, beautiful woodworking projects. His name certainly fit him well as he truly was a jack of all trades. He previously was employed at Coffman Corvette and Bill Swad Chevrolet, and was self-employed as an auto body painter and repairman. He was a Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football fan.

Jack loved the Lord and rededicated his life. Jack is now pain free and enjoyed his first Christmas with Jesus.

He is survived by his parents, Jack and Mardy Bard of Howard; children, Brandon Bard of Plymouth, Amber Bard of Atlanta, Ga., and Cory Bard of Hawkinsville, Ga.; grandmother, Wilma Racer of Mansfield; and sisters, Tierany (Frank) Remen of Howard and Tonja (Ron) Winters of Ontario. Jack is also survived by aunts, an uncle, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dear brother, Tim Bard; and grandparents, Edgar Racer and Jay and Elizabeth Bard.

Family and friends may visit Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A memorial service conducted by Pastor Doug Magers will follow at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
