MANSFIELD — Kathleen Ann “Kathy” Kaster, 72, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 16, 1940, in Oil City, Pa., to the late James Russell and Harriet Ann (Saulsgiver) Sibble. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Lawton, Okla., and Chapel Hill Methodist Church in Bellville. She enjoyed her work as a police officer and security guard for many years. Her interests included arts and crafts, rescuing animals, and John Wayne films. She was very proud of her Apache Indian heritage, and being the great-great-granddaughter of Geronimo.
She is survived by three daughters, Carrie Lee Abby of Delaware, Kathy Ann Levine of Granberry, Texas, and Stacy Lee Kane of Pensacola, Fla.; a son, David Allen Kaster of Texas; two sisters, Peggy Sue (Harold) Williams of Mansfield and Helen Tenny of Titusville, Pa.; three brothers, Charles William (Dot) Sibble and Leo (Cindy) Sibble, both of Corry, Pa., and Daniel (Fonda) Sibble of Illinois; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Lee Kaster; a son, Eric Allen Kaster; ex-husband, David Lee Kaster; and two brothers, James Arthur Sibble and George Sibble.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, with Pastor Bev Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Workman Cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to service time on Thursday. Visit fischerfuneralhome com.
