MOUNT VERNON — Barbara Grace Grosjean, 83, of Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon.

She was born Jan. 24, 1929, in Canton, to the late Robert and Irene (Markley) Grosjean. Barbara was a graduate of Howard High School and later graduated from The Ohio State University, where she achieved her degree in Chemistry. She was employed at Patel Memorial Institute, North American Aviation, taught school in Howard and also was a farmer. Barbara was a member of the Amateur Radio Club in Mount Vernon. She enjoyed farming and carpentry work.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Grosjean of Mount Vernon; her niece, Jane Belden; and her nephew, Bob Belden.

Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Betsy Belden.

There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a memorial service at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made in Barbara’s name to a charity of one’s choice.

The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Barbara Grace Grosjean.
