MOUNT VERNON — Debra A. Shannon Proper, 53, of North Sandusky Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Knox Community Hospital.
She was born Sept. 6, 1959, in Barnesville, to the late Clarence and Lillian (Russell) Shannon.
She is survived by three sons, Douglas (Shalynn) Shannon, Josh Shannon and Chuck Shannon, all of Mount Vernon; a brother, J. R. (Barb) Shannon, of Cadiz; four sisters, Dolores (Roger) Keen of Lexington, Bobbie (Steve) Johnson of Dillonvale, Pearl Walker of Howard; and Libby Berger of Fla., nieces; and nephews, including Aaron Walker and Luke Shannon; long-time companion and friend, Gary Wilson, and canine grandkids, King, Kira and Tyson.
Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by three brothers, Chuck Shannon, Rick Shannon and Jackie Shannon.
A memorial service celebrating Debra’s life will be held Friday at 5 p.m. in the Overcomers Christian Church, 998 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, where friends may call from 2 p.m. until service time.
