UTICA — Kenneth Lee Woodruff, 72, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Jan. 5, 2013.

He was born Dec. 9, 1940, in Newark, to Lee B. and Iva (Petrey) Woodruff.

He is survived by five children, Brent (Gina) Woodruff of Germany, Lee (Stephanie) Woodruff of Las Vegas, Erika (Mark) Campbell of Walhonding, Iva (Dave) Schwartz of Bladensburg and Jason (Sadra) Woodruff of Utica; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Elsie (Wayne) Sigman of Gambier and Laura (Lester) Hughes of Mount Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edith Woodruff in 2011; two brothers, Donald and Tom Woodruff.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the funeral arrangements for the Woodruff family.
