MARTINSBURG — A funeral service for Virgie “Jean” Butler, 83, of Martinsburg, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, with Bruce Hissong officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.

Jean died Jan. 9, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born July 30, 1929, in Warm Spring, Bath County, Va., to the late Lonnie B. and Mary L. (Shott) Goodall.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kareene Butler of Shepherd, Mont. and daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Phil Banks of St. Louisville; five grandchildren, Jason Butler of Fredericktown, Kevin Butler of Mount Vernon, Laura Butler of Howard, Christal Banks and Clayton Banks, both of St. Louisville; three great-grandchildren, Megan Butler, Zachary Butler and Jason Butler Jr.; half brother, Leonidaes Goodall of Caldwell, W.Va.; nieces, Bobbie McCormick, Sandra Liptrap and Tana Carney; nephew, Donnie Baker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis H. Butler, who passed away Aug. 31, 2004; great-granddaughter, Michelle Butler; brother, Johnny Goodall; sister, Phyllis Baker; niece, Tana Thompson.
