MOUNT VERNON — Annetta Mary Ellen Payton, 75, of Butler met her Lord and Savior Sunday morning, Jan. 13, 2013.
She was born Nov. 13, 1937, in Twin Falls, Idaho, daughter of the late Theo and Nina (Sumner) Brush.
Annetta was a faithful member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Mount Vernon. She was the office manager at the J. H. Baxter Company in Eugene, Ore. for many years. Annetta loved to read and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Annetta is survived by beloved husband of over 46 years, Richard G. Payton; her daughter, Cynthia (Morey) Redmond of Mount Vernon and their children, Garrett, Alison, and Janica Redmond; her son, Daniel (Tracy) Stewart of Eugene, Ore., and their children, Josh (Ashley) Vicenzi, Melissa (Chris) Loper, Jarred Stewart, and Christy Davis; several great-grandchildren; brother, David (Marie) Brush of Buhl, Idaho; sisters, Diana Calvert of Twin Falls, Idaho and Eilene LePelley of Springfield, Ore.; a sister-in-law, Margaret Brush of Seattle, Wash.; and a brother-in-law, Rob McGill of Cottage Grove, Ore.
In addition to her parents, Annetta was preceded in death by a sister, Lorna Jean McGill; and a brother, Theodore Brush.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Annetta will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1635 Old Delaware Road, Mount Vernon with Pastor Duane Kramer officiating.
