FREDERICKTOWN — Ronald Gene Hogle, 72, of Fredericktown, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 15, 2013, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.

He was born June 16, 1940, in Fallsburg, to Paul and Grace (Priest) Hogle.

Ronald served in the U. S. Army and has lived in the Fredericktown area since 1964. Ronald was the most loving husband, father and grandfather. He was such a good provider and very devoted to his two granddaughters. Ronald liked people and always wanted to help. He had driven five million miles in his 35 years of driving truck and enjoyed talking to his CB friends. Ronald was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janet Sue (Litt) Hogle; a son, David Scott (Marcy) Hogle of Bellville; two beautiful granddaughters, Hannah Marie and Holly Sue Hogle; and a sister, Carolyn Gruber of Newark.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Hazel Leland.

A funeral service with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown where friends may call from noon until the time of the service. Pastor Richard Prater will be officiating.

The family will observe a private burial.
