UTICA — A funeral service for Virginia M. Cochran, 83, a 57-year resident of Utica and longtime reisdent of Oak Hill Manor, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Pastors Wesley Fredericks and Jason Harding officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.
Virginia died Jan. 19, 2013, at Bennington Glen, Marengo. She was born Feb. 7, 1929, in Bloomingdale, to the late Charles C. and Pearl L. (Bondy) Armstrong.
Virginia was a devoted and loving mother. Family was most important to her. Virginia was a member of Utica Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Carl Dugan) Six of Newark; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clyde (Bonnie) Armstrong of Howard, Leroy (Linda) Armstrong of Sebring, Fla., Damon (Faye) Armstrong of Marion; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathryn (William) Hinton Jr. of Mount Vernon, Linda (Edwin) Roshon of Sunbury; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Cochran; sisters and brother, Dorothy Armstrong, Alice Wright, Opal Heldreth and Carl Armstrong.
