MOUNT VERNON — Gwendolyn L. Fraley, 83, of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home.
She was born Oct. 21, 1929, in Tarlton to the late Edgar and Sarah (Bowman) Mauger.
Gwendolyn was a member of the Central Christian Church and the VIP Clown Club.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Manter of Lousa, Ky., Arnold (Shirley) Manter of Columbus and Paul (Leigh Anne) Manter of Howard; daughter, Deborah Manter of Columbus; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Edgar (Paula) Mauger of Whitehall; two sisters, Emily Ann Riddle of Whitehall and Kathleen Ansley of Andalusia, Ala.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herb Fraley; a son, Phillip Manter; a brother, William Kendall Mauger and a sister, Sandra Rose Mauger.
A funeral service will be held Monday at noon at the Central Christian Church, 17833 Gambier Road, Mount Vernon where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Mr. Ken Springer will be officiating. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Kingston.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Christian Church Building fund or VIP Clown Club.
