HEATH — James Joseph Ballman, 20, of Heath, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013.

He was born Nov. 30, 1992, in Newark to Timothy Ballman and Lori (Worthey) Ballman. He was employed with WS Builders and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, bicycling, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities.

In addition to his mother and father, James is survived by his sister, Cynthia Skoda; paternal grandmother, Sig Ballman; uncles, Art (Liz) Romine, Andy Ballman and Chuck Ballman; aunts, Debra (Mark) Smith, Ginger Romine, Julia Lambert, Dana (Mark) Queen and Sue Ballman; three nephews and one niece; great-uncle, Den Roe; numerous cousins and friends; and his devoted dog, Clyde.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Deanna Ballman; his niece, Mabel; his paternal grandfather, Charles Ballman; and his maternal grandmother, Dee Bendure.

A funeral service, celebrating James’ life, will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Kirkersville Home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E. Main St., with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday before services from 4 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made be made to the James Ballman Memorial Fund, c/o Hoskinson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 57, Kirkersville, OH 43033.
