MILFORD — Virginia Ann (Ellis) Carrington of Milford passed away suddenly Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at age 68.
She is survived by her husband, Homer Carrington; her daughter, Elizabeth (Mike) Reinbolt of Maineville; her sons, Chad Carrington of Milford and Matthew (Sarah) Carrington of Chicago, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Marcus and Connor Reinbolt and Emma Carrington, who were her sun and stars. She is also survived by her brothers, George and John Ellis of Mount Vernon; and her sister, Mary (Tom) Sandy of Sunbury.
She was an educator for over 30 years, most of which was spent encouraging students at Milford Exempted Village Schools. She was an avid sports fan, a worldwide traveler, a country music junkie, and a gifted gardener. She could be found taking long walks, putting together impossible puzzles, or playing endless rounds of dominoes, always in the company of dear friends. She was a wife, a mother, a nana, a sister, an aunt, a friend, a teacher, a giver, a lover of life, and she will be desperately missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Milford.
Donations in her honor can be made to the Milford First United Methodist Church, where she spent many years of service.
