MOUNT VERNON — Thomas Jethro Mill, 71, of McKenzie Road, Mount Vernon passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Mount Vernon to the late Edgar and Dorothy (Kaylor) Mill.
Thomas was employed at the Goodwin Sand and Gravel, owned by Shelly Co. where he served as a manager. He was a veteran serving in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed steam trains and his three canine companions, Matty, Tuffy and Barbie. But most of all, Thomas enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his son, Michael (Karen) Mill of Mount Vernon; his daughter, Debra (Tim) Evans of New Albany; two grandchildren, Erica Bowles and Kacie Mill; and two brothers, Richard Mill of Philo and Don (Joan) Mill of Granville.
There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private graveside service at a later date.
