WALHONDING — Floyd H. Walters, 74, of Township Road 423, joined his beloved wife of 51 years, Shirley, peacefully Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law.

He was born July 16, 1938, in Howard to Levi and Lena (Underwood) Walters. He married Shirley D. Bemiller on March 26, 1960. She preceded him in death Dec. 22, 2011. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Roy and Robert Walters; and a sister, Dorothy Walters.

Surviving are his daughters, Rhonda Linn (Ray) Wilson of Warsaw and Lisa Ann Walters of Mansfield; granddaughters, Casey Renee (Gary) Giffin of Coshocton and Candice Nicole Rothrock of Millersburg; a grandson, Devlen Ray Wilson of Warsaw; great-granddaughters, Mallory Rae and Melanie Shea Giffin; and a great-grandson, Mason Randall-Keith Giffin; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosalie (Tom) Phillips of Mount Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Ben McKinstry will officiate. Burial will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation will be a half hour prior to the service.
