MOUNT VERNON — Dixie D. Kucheravy, 66, of Delano Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Knox Community Hospital.

She was born Aug. 20, 1946, in Mount Vernon, to Walter and Mary Rine. Dixie retired in 2009 from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Women’s Auxiliary. Whether it was playing cards or having lunch, Dixie enjoyed spending time with her friends. She will be sadly missed by her family.

She is survived by her mother; her husband of 42 years, Charles Kucheravy; a son, Walter Kucheravy of Fredericktown; a daughter, Trinia (Joe) Huddleston of Mount Vernon; a grandson, Carter Huddleston; and a sister, Patricia Robbins.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother-in-law, Kenny Robbins.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Revs. Russ Gumm and Scott Peterson will be officiating. The family will observe a private burial.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Women’s Auxiliary.
