HEREFORD, Ariz. — Foster Farral “Putt” Butler was born April 7, 1939, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to James L. Butler and Olive (Gaumer) Butler, and passed away Feb. 10, 2013, in Hereford, Ariz.
He was predeceased by his stepbrother, Gerald Dial in 2011.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Alice Butler; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eddie and Ruby Starnes; also one special nephew, Todd Borquez; two special nieces, Mary Borquez and Ann Steinberg; one great-nephew, Ty Borquez; one great-niece, Lorna Steinberg; other great-nieces and great-nephews, Diane and Hank Earnest, Curtis Earnest, Elaine and Nick Davis, and Elisha and Shelby Davis. Foster is survived by his stepsister, Dorothy Dial of Mount Vernon. He also leaves behind special friends, Howard Kidwell of Utica, Ohio, Stephen Kidwell (Nancy Young), Kevin and Jennifer Kidwell of Martinsburg, Ohio.

Foster farmed in Ohio before moving to Arizona. After Foster moved to Arizona he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic, also farmed and ranched. He wasn’t happy unless he could work outside and loved to work in a garden.
Memorial service for Farral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Country Estates Southern Baptist Church in Hereford, Ariz.
