WARSAW — Sidney L. Endsley, 74, of Warsaw, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, surrounded by his loving family and friends, after a long illness.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Walhonding Church, Walhonding. Pastor Rick Lumbatis will be officiating. Sid was a member of the Walhonding Church since 1979.

Sidney served with the U.S. Army, with the 2nd Battle Group, 4th Infantry, 3rd Division, long-range patrol reconnaissance from 1960 to 1064. He spent 37 years of his life working as a concessionaire for Mid’s Concessions, owned and operated by his parents, Robert and Mildred Endsley. He was a retired truck driver and loved to travel.

Sid is survived by three children, Robert (Jenney) Endsley, Joseph (Mary) Endsley and Lynda (Larry) Heineman; his sister, Gayle (Monte) Tarrh; brother, James “Tony” (Cheryl); 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He loved to fish with his sons and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Sid was preceded in death by his parents; his infant brother, Robert Lee; and his young son, Charles “Chuckie” Endsley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Walhonding Church, P.O. Box 90, Walhonding, OH.
