MOUNT VERNON — A funeral service for Warren Wright of Mount Vernon will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Newland officiating. Interment will be held at Hanover Cemetery.
Warren was born March 6, 1937, in Newark to the late John Vincent and Edith Marie (Reid) Wright. He died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Kindred Health Care. He was 76.
Warren was preceded in death by his children, Doug Wright and Denise Marie Wright-Guillet; his stepson, Robert Brown; grandson, Jimmy; and his brothers, Ralph and Thomas Wright.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gloria Mae Wright; daughters, Deb (Roy) Wright-Miller of West Virginia and Sherri Wright-Hersman; stepchildren, Kenneth (Rhonda) Brown and Janetta (Brent) Jewell; grandchildren, April, Amber, Rachel, Joshua, Misty and Dakota; stepgrandchildren, Jena, Nichole, Nicholas, Jeremie, Anthony and Jennifer; and six great-grandchildren.
Warren was a machinist for Rolls-Royce in Mount Vernon for 40 years. He loved to collect antiques and was a Denver Bronco fan.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home, 179 Granville St., Newark.
