HOWARD — Gary A. Howard, 35, of Howard, earned his angel wings Sunday afternoon, March 24, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born Oct. 16, 1977, in Delaware, to Linda (Boyd) Moore. He was a 1996 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and had worked for Wendy’s and AMG. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Temple and 4-H Club in Fredericktown.

Gary loved life to its fullest, jumping into the pool, fishing, blue Popsicles, riding the four wheeler, driving the tractor, spending time with his family especially his niece and nephew. He enjoyed sports, following the University of Michigan, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburg Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins and NASCAR with his favorite drivers being Jimmy Johnson, Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman. Gary loved his dogs, Tosha and Chelsea, showing pigs at the fair, even if they didn’t cooperate with him. He loved shopping at the Giant Eagle with the parking garage in Pittsburgh. Helping his sister at the Quarter Horse Congress and being able to just be there was special to him even if he had to ride a pink scooter to get around on. He loved the Okefenokee Swamp in south Georgia and his south Georgia family.

He is survived by his mother, Linda “Lin” Moore of Howard; sisters, Michelle (Jason) Row of Mount Vernon, Ashlee (Andrew) Ginter of Cleveland; nephew, Grady; niece, Shelby; grandmother, Mary Cline of Howard; best friend and brother, Michael Spencer of Chambersburg, Pa.
