LEXINGTON, Mass., — Barbara Houston Heintz died, March 5, 2013, in Lexington, after a long bout with Alzheimer’s disease, at 98.
She was born in Massachusetts, and came to Gambier, Ohio, with her family in 1952, where she lived until 1996.
She was a fifth grade teacher at the Columbia School, Mount Vernon in the 1960’s and 1970’s, and worked at the Peoples Bank in Gambier.
She is survived by two daughters, Wendy Rosmini of Vancouver, B. C., Canada, and Sarah Heintz of Cambridge, Mass.; two sons, John Heintz of Miami, Fla., and Matthew Heintz of Thorndyke, Maine; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Donations in her memory have been going to local Alzheimer’s associations. She loved the people in Ohio.
