MOUNT VERNON — Sandra Farmer, 70, of Mount Vernon, passed away April 2, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 14, 1942, in Zanesville, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Zella (Lease) Waller-Cullison. Sandra was a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Temple. She was a graduate of Carnegie College in Cleveland. Sandra had worked for Mercy Hospital and Knox Community Hospital as a Lab Technician for nearly 50 years.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Owen Farmer; her children, Dwight Owen Farmer of Mount Vernon, Stephen (Sarah) Farmer of Gambier and Suzanne (Scott) Dapprich of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Kennedy and Cameron Farmer and Kaitlyn and Cody Dapprich; a stepsister, Eloise Dickinson of Mount Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.

Sandra was preceded in death by a half brother, George Waller.

The family will observe private graveside services in Bell Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the funeral services for the Farmer family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sandra’s memory to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
