COLUMBUS — Joan Leonard, 84, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Mount Vernon, daughter of the late Harley and Florence (Ewing) Doup.
In addition to her parents; Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Doup.
She was a 1946 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and was a retired legal administrator.
Joan is survived by her husband, Don Leonard; sons, Mark (Sue) Leonard and Rob Leonard; brother, John Doup; sister, Ellen Metcalfe; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, N. E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, with the memorial service beginning at noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Court, Hilliard, OH 43026.
