MOUNT VERNON — Theodore L. Blank, 73, of Mount Vernon, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at his residence following a long illness.

Theodore was born March 25, 1940, in Kingsville to Perle Thurman Blank and Mary Louise (Simmons) Blank. He was a graduate of Kingsville High School and Ohio University where he earned degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and was certified as a Professional Engineer.

Theodore had spent his entire working life with the Entronics Division of Cooper Energy Services and retired from Rolls-Royce in Mount Vernon in 1999.

He enjoyed gun collecting and often participated in target shooting.

Surviving are his wife, Judith (Stewart) Blank whom he married Aug. 3, 1962; his son, David Blank; and his sister, Elinor Griggs.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, where funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
