CENTERBURG — Earl S. Riley, 78, of Centerburg, died May 11, 2013.

He worked in several endeavors including farming, as a truck driver, shrimp boat captain and custodian. Was a member of First Baptist Church in Inglis, Fla.

Survived by daughters, Diane (Don) Davis of Chesterville and Linda (Roger Noll) Riley of Gahanna; sons, David (Angela) Riley of Centerburg and Duane Riley of Inglis, Fla.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, John Riley of Poland, Ohio, and Lee (Linda) Riley of Hebron; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Riley; parents, Forest and Ella Pauline Riley; brother, Bobby Riley.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Sparta Advent Christian Church, 1137 S. Church St., Sparta, where service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour before the service. Pastor David Young officiating. Interment in Newark Memorial Gardens, Newark.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Acclaim Hospice, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231. Arrangements by Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, Centerburg.
