MOUNT VERNON — Carol L. Stumbo, 66, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

She was born May 5, 1947, in Mount Vernon, to the late Lewis and Thelma (Spurgeon) Crise. Carol was a Nursing Assistant at the Northside Manor in Mount Vernon.

She is survived by her daughter, Erin (Ron) Ridenour of Danville; two sons, David Stumbo of Mount Vernon, Steve Stumbo of Mount Vernon; two grandchildren, Caden Ridenour and Emma Ridenour; and her brother, Stan Crise of Mount Vernon.

Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stumbo; and her granddaughter, Megan Brianna Ridenour.

Friends may call Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, with the service to follow at 3 p.m., with Pastor Bob Pelfrey officiating. Burial will be held in Newcastle Cemetery.
