MOUNT VERNON — Norma “Pude” Newton Jacquet, 82, died at 4:10 a.m., Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her home.

She is survived by her husband, of 62 years, John Jacquet; her son, Tracey; a daughter, Kelly (Ken) Nugent; grandson, Kyle (Lisa) Nugent; granddaughter, Kelsey (Joe) Cohen; great-granddaughter, Ava Sage Nugent; and several nieces and nephews.

Pude was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Pauline (Cochran) Newton; sisters, June, Marguerite and Dionne (Sally); brothers, Robert, Donald and Jimmy.

Per Pude’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 10 a.m., in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with Dr. Mark Hensley officiating. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home is handling the funeral services for the Jacquet family.
